For those of you who are new to the world of renewable energy, do not fear, this post will be about the ins and outs of that world. I wanted to start by explaining exactly what renewable energy is as well as what it possibly can stand for. There are so many misconceptions about this realm of the world and I want to try relieve them.

The Basics

Renewable energy can also be known as green energy. The reason for this is because after installation of energy converters such as wind turbines or solar panels, the energy harnessed is completely free and lacks carbon emissions all together. Whether this energy is harnessed and converted from the sun or from the wind, it is clean and powerful energy. There are other forms such as geothermal or hydro energy but these are harder to access and besides our sun is always in the sky giving us everything we need. Although my posts are based on personal beliefs and knowledge, I am (if not obvious) passionate about this topic and do extensive research on those in's and out's I mentioned earlier.

The Misconceptions

I think a lot of people feel intimidated or unsure of renewable energy because of temporary (once-off) costs that come with it. And by costs I mean money. If not done properly, installation and the necessary equipment can be expensive. But, it is not as expensive as the fossil fuels we know and it is definitely not as expensive when it comes to the value of the environment and what it protects. Our home.
